Designing for trust in AI products
Confidence, provenance, and the small UX choices that make users trust — or quietly abandon — an AI feature.
Users forgive a wrong answer. They rarely forgive a confidently wrong one.
Show sources. Show uncertainty. Give the user a graceful escape hatch to the human path.
Trust compounds. Every honest 'I'm not sure' buys you the right to be believed the next time you are.
